  15. I have this EXACT same problem only with a Spirit II 14.4 modem.

  17. It has gotten worse & worse.  Used to be ~3 days, then every few hours,
  18. now every half hour, with no real pattern.

  20. I have been able to keep the modem online @ 2400bps for several hours,
  21. so maybe:
  22. 1) my phone line is glitchy at higher speeds but 2400 doesn't notice
  23. 2) my high-speed circuits are screwed and getting worse
  24. 3) I need to check modem settings to compensate for cruddy line
  25.  
  26. I'm pretty sure I enabled auto-retrain but I'll check again.
